It’s that time of year—we are excited to announce the winners of the Annual NOAA Marine Debris Program Art Contest! We received hundreds of impressive entries from around the country, and although we wish we could showcase them all, we are excited to share this year’s winners with you.

The NOAA Marine Debris Program holds this annual art contest to engage K-8 students in raising awareness about marine debris, and encourage them to use the power of art to express messages about this issue that they would like to share. The resulting calendar, featuring the winning artwork, will help to remind us every day how important it is for us to be responsible stewards of the ocean. This year’s winners will be featured in our 2020 calendar, which will be available later this year.

Thank you to all the students and schools that participated in this year’s contest, we appreciate your art and care for our ocean. Congratulations to all of our winners!
